Whoa!

I just noticed it's been awhile....
I've just been hanging around...trying to piece together my studio and  decorate the new house...
I'm also getting ready for a whole bunch of art shows! (more info coming soon on those)
Today's post is me being inspired
by the "Random Light" by Bertjan Pot .I would love to buy one but it's out of my price range right now, But when I become a famous artist I will buy one or five!
(I promise Bertjan)

So.... for now I shall attempt to make my own version to satisfy my needy design needs... I will make mine out of yarn... gray yarn... This is the yarn wrapped around the ball....
and here is the light shade dry with the ball deflated and pulled out....
Now I have to figure out where to hang it.....
While I'm figuring that out... check out these
"Carbon Copy" and "Carbon Chair" Bertjan made, This chair was completely hand coiled and is 100% carbon fiber and epoxy (so, no metal frame!). The pattern on the seat looks random but actually reflects the strength patter. Every point on the rim of the chair is connected with the 4 points connecting the seat to the base-frame. The Carbon Chair is sold through Moooi.

oh heavens...
and his "Jumper" Chair
Jumper is a chair upholstered with a knitted woolen cover. The cover was knitted on a machine that knitted the whole piece in one go. Normally a knitted woolen cover would not make it trough an abrasion test, but by felting the cover (washing it at a high temperature) the textile became very dense and durable. Jumper was designed for the British brand Established & Sons.
and Mr. Bertjan Pot himself...
 Loving  all his designs!
Keep checking back to see where I hang my giant yarn ball light shade!
